Employee Spotlight: Michelle Kemp
We are honored to spotlight Michelle Kemp this month! Michelle has been part of the RV industry since 1999 and will celebrate 14 years with Newmar this June. She joined the company in 2012 and has built a diverse background across many areas of the business.
Michelle began her career at Newmar as a Sales Coordinator before transitioning to Customer Experience Coordinator, where she worked directly with customers to guide them through specials and customization. She later moved into the Office Manager role and ultimately served as Director of Sales. In that position, she supported dealer relations, played a key role in product development, oversaw the sales coordinators, the sales product trainer, and Newmar Professional Product Institute (NPPI). Michelle subsequently transitioned to the Product Marketing team as a Product Manager, contributing to new product launches, floor plan development, and exterior graphics design. In her current role as Account Manager, she supports dealers across 13 locations managing account relationships, training materials, customer questions, service direction, and show support.
Michelle’s favorite aspect of her role is building relationships-whether at dealerships, industry events, or traveling. She values the variety her work offers and thrives on the relationship building that comes from supporting them across multiple locations. She also appreciates the people and products at Newmar, noting the strength of the company’s production and service personnel, stating they are the best in the industry.
Some of Michelle’s most meaningful experiences come from working alongside longtime Newmar team members whose knowledge and mentorship have deepened her understanding of the industry. Outside of work, Michelle and her husband enjoy spending time with their family, boating, and completing DIY home projects.
As a guiding principle, Michelle believes it’s perfectly acceptable not to have every answer immediately - as long as you follow up with the correct information. She values mutual respect and strives to treat others the way you want to be treated.
