Newmar Introduces New Gas Motorhomes

NAPPANEE, Ind.—Newmar Corporation, the Indiana-based manufacturer of high quality Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels, has introduced two new Class A Gas motorhomes for the 2007 model year. The 2007 Bay Star is an entry level addition to Newmar's gas motorhome line-up, followed by the mid-priced 2007 Canyon Star.
"The Bay Star offers the same high-quality materials and craftsmanship people have come to expect in a Newmar product at a great value," said John Sammut, Newmar's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The all-new Bay Star is built on a Ford F-53 chassis and powered by a 362 horsepower engine. Seven floorplans are available ranging in lengths from 27' to 33'. The exterior features vinyl graphics with a painted skirt, automatic entry door with double step, and lighted outdoor storage compartments with cargo liner. Also included as standard equipment are slideout covers and an A & E 8500 side awning with aluminum wrap.
The Bay Star's heating system features a propane furnace with in-floor ducted heat and true central air conditioning is powered by the 13.5M Brisk unit. Other standard features in the new 2007 product include a 4.0 kW Onan generator, a flatscreen TV in the living area, a Dometic 8 Cu. Ft. black panel refrigerator, booth dinette, three burner range with oven and a rearview camera system with audio.
The day/night pleated window shades, deluxe carpeting, and wraparound windshield privacy shade give the interior a nice look. In addition, interior features include Flexsteel furniture, Oak raised-panel doors in overhead cabinets, doors and drawers that feature residential-style full-extension ball-bearing drawer guides. The 2007 Bay Star starts at a retail base price of $95,396.
The new Canyon Star Class A motorhome is built on your choice of a Ford F-53 chassis powered by a 362 horsepower engine or a Workhorse W-20 or W-22 series chassis powered by a 340 horsepower engine. Seven floorplans are available ranging in lengths from 32' to 36'.
The exterior features painted graphics with a painted mask and skirt, automatic entry door with double step and lighted outdoor storage compartments; however the most noticeable feature is the Super Storage below the rear bedroom floor. This storage area gives the consumer a pass-through area with adequate room to haul larger items.
Highlighting the interior of this product is the unique 3642 floorplan. In the bedroom area of this unit is a SICO fold-down wall bed. When the bed is in the up position, it provides this motorhome with a second living area complete with two recliners and a 24" flatscreen TV.

Other standard features in the Canyon Star include a 5.5 kW Onan Marquis generator with remote switch and automatic change over, a flatscreen TV in the living area and flatscreen TV in the bedroom, a Norcold 8 Cu. Ft. refrigerator with hardwood raised-panel front, three burner range with glass oven door, DVD/VCR player, and a rearview camera system with audio.
