Newmar Announces Customer Service Award Winner

NAPPANEE, Ind.—Newmar Corporation, the Indiana-based manufacturer of high-quality Class A Motorhomes and Fifth Wheels, has released the names of RV dealers who are being recognized by the company for providing excellent customer service over the past year. The first award is the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award. This award is being presented to dealers who scored in a pre-determined percentile based on results from customer surveys. Twenty-nine Newmar dealers earned this coveted award by providing excellent customer service to Newmar customers receiving warranty work.

"Newmar feels this award is important because we value how our mutual customers are treated and that the service experience is a positive one," said Newmar's Vice President of Service Operations, Matt Utley. "This award has raised the awareness and focus all of us have on customer satisfaction and the results prove it. In 2001, we introduced this award and six dealerships earned this recognition. I am proud to report this year, that number has grown to 29. As the number of CSI award earners continue to grow, you can be sure that the number of loyal, repeat Newmar customers continues to grow with it."
Newmar is also honoring three dealers with a Transient Customer Service Award. This award is being given to dealers who have provided excellent customer service to the most customers who did not buy their RV from the servicing dealer, but are in the area and are in need of service work. Those winners include Independence RV Sales and Service Inc., Winter Garden, FL; North Trail RV Center, Fort Myers, FL; and World Wide RV, Mesa, AZ.
"Although these dealers did not sell the unit to the customer, the peace of mind they receive in knowing they are taken care of keeps the customer coming back," added Utley. "These dealers' efforts help to contribute to the Newmar customer's overall ownership experience."
Newmar is also presenting the Mahlon Miller Service Excellence Award to four dealers. Miller is the owner of Newmar and the award in his name recognizes those dealerships who most embody the spirit of customer service. Those winners include Coachlight RV Sales Inc., Carthage, MO; Harper Camperland Inc., Great Bend, KS; Midway Motor Homes Inc., Grand Rapids, MI; and Modern Trailer Sales Inc., Grand Rapids, MI.
"Customer service has always been a passion of Mahlon's," explained Dick Parks, Newmar's Chairman of the Board. "Over the years he has continued to emphasize the importance of keeping customers front and center in everything we do. He has always championed our efforts to better meet customers' needs.
